Based on my limited knowledge, she was hurt much worse than your son. She was hospitalized for 11.5 months at a regular hospital and then Helen Hayes. I remembering a period of time where she would thrash about and make jerking motions with your whole body, and it was very scary to me at the time, but they also told us it was a sign of progress. She is married now, recently purchased a new home and is thinking of starting a family. She works and does very well. She is fine with the exception of slight short term memory lapses, but if she concentrates, she is fine. She also has a very slight problem with one finger being stiff. You would never know anything happened to her, and she is actually happier than before. I just wanted to tell you how well she did, but that it did take time and it was a rough road along the way at times. We are all thinking about you up here in Hackensack. Holly Johnson - B&L
