You might like the idea about the comedy tapes and TV. Her brother, my nephew, Keith, was hit head-on by a drunk driver many years ago. He was in a coma for several months. He has recovered to a huge extent, but lost both eyes in the accident. He recently got married, and lives a full, highly productive and happy life. All the best, Len +++++ Hi Len & Joan Glad to hear your on the mend. How's Russell? Dad and I were talking yesterday and we rememberde that when Keith was in a coma we got him a tape deck and comedy tapes with head phones. This helped bring Keith round and gave him sometime positive to listen to for the long hours in hospital. When Keith was more awake we got him a TV so he knew there was another world out there. Even when people are in a deep coma they can still hear and often fmilar sounds and voices will bring them round. Gary's mum was made a quadraplegic when he was 13 after a car accident and the Dr's didn't think she would live. She lived for another 20 years and began painting and drawing. Where there is life there is hope. Betsy was a source of joy, love, wisdom and inspiration for her family dispite her physical disability and her guiding words has made all her children very wonderful people. I know this is a very difficult time for you all especially Jennifer and Stephen. Please remember our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Get well soon Love always Yvonne Gary Leela Tiffany and Toby xoxoxoxo ---
