Subject: Well wishes from Joe Vitale and the WHS Tennis Team

Russ and Family,
 
I just wanted to take the time to express well wishes and warm regards from the WHS Tennis Team.  As you know, I played with Russ when he was a freshman in high school and always had a good time on and off the court with him.  From our days in the marching band or on the tennis court I can remember more than one time that gave us all a good laugh whether it was at his expense or at the expence of others!
 
I would like to let you know that the WHS Tennis Team is dedicating the 2003 season to the support and recovery of Russ.  One day soon, we all hope that he can come back on court with us.  Our team shirts will adorn Russ' initials upon the sleeve out of a sign of respect and admiration for his dedication to the team in the past and to most of all being a friend to me whenever I saw him.  If you could send me an address to mail him one that would be great.  We also will be handing out red and black ribbons at our home matches to all players in a show of solidarity for the recovery effort of Russ.
